Tom Odell Live at Leeds O2, November 2016

14 November 16

Tom Odell came to Leeds O2 Academy on Tuesday, November 8th. He arrived on stage at 9:15pm with a tailored black suit and red shirt. The lights were low. The screams of the fans were intense. “We love you Tom!” was chanted as he took a seat and started to play “Still Getting Used To Being On My Own”. Melodic piano notes and heart breaking melancholic lyrics filled the room as the crowd became silent.

“Concrete”, fourth song in the set, Odell unexpectedly got up and stood on two boxes that had been set down in the centre of the floor, propped up against the stage. A song of self-destruction and relationships breaking down, it was easily one of the favourites pieces of this evening.
